Cooling demand across the Gulf continues to rise, placing increasing pressure on HVAC systems — especially chillers that operate in extreme temperatures for long hours. PreCooll is Oxycom's adiabatic pre-cooling technology for air-cooled chillers and condensers, in both retrofit and new-build scenarios, delivering measurable energy reductions and longer equipment life.
How PreCooll works
OxyVap contact humidifiers cool the intake air through surface evaporation, lowering the temperature of the air before it reaches the condenser coils. Compressor strain drops and overall chiller efficiency rises: cooler entering air, reduced compressor workload, higher cooling capacity, lower electricity consumption and quieter chillers.
PreCooll for existing chillers
- 20–40% reduction in chiller energy consumption.
- Up to 30% increase in cooling capacity.
- Extended chiller lifespan through reduced mechanical stress.
- Quick retrofit without operational interruption.
PreCooll for new installations
- Enables smaller chiller selection with reduced electrical infrastructure.
- Stable operation during extreme climate conditions.
- Lower operating costs over the project lifespan.
- Supports LEED certification and sustainability goals.
Ideal applications
Data centers, industrial facilities, district cooling plants, retail complexes, healthcare, warehouses, commercial buildings and hospitality.
System components
A modular panel assembly of OxyVap humidifiers with high evaporation efficiency and low air-pressure drop, and the Aquamizer hydraulic module that circulates water across the humidification units for consistent performance.
