The problem

Oxycom's two-stage technology, explained.

IDEC — Indirect Direct Evaporative Cooling — is Oxycom's two-stage technology: an indirect first stage cools the air without adding moisture, a direct second stage cools it further. IntrCooll IDEC units deliver reliable 100% fresh-air comfort cooling for factories, warehouses, showrooms, halls and mosques — cutting electricity by up to 90% versus conventional air conditioning, and total running cost by up to 70% after the water it uses is accounted for, even in Riyadh's summer.

The solution

One unit, 14,000 m³/h, no compressors.

One IntrCooll Plus unit supplies up to 14,000 m³/h of cool, filtered fresh air on 4.88 kW of rated power — no compressors, no refrigerant. The continuous fresh airflow removes heat, dust and stale air from occupied spaces, improving comfort and safety on production floors while the electricity bill falls.

Dosan Energy is the sole Oxycom partner in Saudi Arabia. We design, supply, install, commission and maintain the systems — including the Alfanar HVDC factory in Riyadh, the largest IDEC installation in the world.

How it works

How we deliver it

  1. STEP 01 Assess Site survey, load and psychrometric check for your city and application — a full-year hourly study using actual weather data.
  2. STEP 02 Design & supply Unit selection, ducting, water treatment (tap or RO depending on site water quality), controls and OxyControl monitoring.
  3. STEP 03 Install, commission, maintain Our Riyadh-based team executes and supports — with spare parts and AMCs.

Questions engineers ask us.

IntrCooll is the IDEC unit that supplies cool fresh air into a space (comfort/industrial cooling). PreCooll pre-cools the air entering chillers and condensers so the existing mechanical plant uses less power — see our PreCooll Chiller Pre-Cooling service.

A conventional system spends most of its power on compressors. IntrCooll uses fans and a small water pump only, so the electrical load is a fraction of a DX system serving the same space. On delivered projects we verify savings with measurement.

IDEC evaporates water to cool. We account for it openly — after the water bill, delivered projects still show up to 70% lower total running cost. Depending on site water quality the units run on tap water or treated RO water.
