Alfanar's new factory for high-voltage direct-current (HVDC) electrical systems in Riyadh is air-conditioned entirely with 100% fresh cooled air from Oxycom IntrCooll Plus units, integrated with the OxyControl system for centralised monitoring and remote operation.
The design objective — 26°C dry-bulb and below 60% relative humidity with high indoor air quality — is met across the 88,350 m² facility. Phase 1 is complete and fully operational; Phase 2, adding 93 further IDEC units under the OxyControl BMS network, is in execution.
Beyond thermal comfort, the high fresh-air rates reduce heat stress and fatigue on the production floor. The project is the largest IDEC (Indirect Direct Evaporative Cooling) installation in the world to date, delivered by Dosan Energy as sole Oxycom partner in Saudi Arabia.
